Great to revisit all of our anti-bullying strategies in school this week as part of National Anti-Bullying Week – ‘United Against Bullying’. As well as celebrating each person’s uniqueness, every child has been talking and learning about this as part of their PHSE programme. As part of our work to eradicate bullying, Lovelace has been awarded All Together School bronze status by the Ant-Bullying Alliance. We are now working on moving to ‘silver’ status.

The children coped bravely with their annual nasal flu vaccinations this week which is a vital part of our national protection of the most vulnerable in our society – particularly important in these Covid times.

We do not want any family to have to spend a Christmas holiday in quarantine so it is particularly vital that we are all following the guidance in order to ensure that does not happen.  Please do not send your child into school if they are unwell and when visiting school  please wear a mask. Do make sure that you are up to date with the latest C19 guidance – this short video is particularly useful to watch and understand: https://twitter.com/DHSCgovuk/status/1329024052615376897

Thank you for your support today for the PFA MUFTI. Obviously, because of Covid there is sadly no PFA Christmas Fair this year – however, our very popular ‘Grand Raffle’ and hamper prizes is still going ahead and you can still support the PFA and School by purchasing your tickets online here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/lovelacepfachristmasraffle

Although we are one ‘Team Lovelace’ in school we have lots of staff in school that are often called ‘support staff’ – these are vital members of our team who work in the school office, premises staff, teaching assistants, technicians and lunch team members. We will be celebrating their important role in school next Friday as part of ‘Stars in Our Schools’. Do nominate a Team Lovelace Support Staff Member Now! https://www.starsinourschools.uk/nominate-a-star

Look after yourselves and keep safe over another lockdown weekend.
