Lovelace Parent Forum
What is the Parent Forum?
The Parent Forum is a positive partnership between parents and the school. It is a place for staff and parents to share ideas, views and together make suggestions for whole school improvement.
The aims of the Parent Forum will be to:
· Work together to improve the education provided for our children
· Further improve communications between families and staff.
Anything related to improving the school as a whole will be discussed at the meeting. Meetings will be informal and are an open discussion.
Prior to each forum meeting, an agenda will be sent to everyone attending.
Who can be part of the parent forum?
Class reps are invited to attend. The forum will be chaired by Miss Dixon, the headteacher or a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Sometimes other members of the school community will also attend the meeting, depending on agenda items.
How often will the Parent Forum meet?
The Forum will meet during the first half term of each term.
What is not discussed at the meetings?
Concerns or complaints involving individual children, individual classes/year groups, families or members of staff are not discussed at the Forum. These issues should be raised with the class teacher, Middle Leadership Team or Senior Leadership Team.
How can I contribute to the work of the Parent Forum?
Contact your Class rep if you would like to add your opinion or question to an agenda item or if you have any other whole school questions you would like raised.
