School Meals

School meals are available for all children at £2.30 per day (£11.50 per week) (17/11/20). Orders (and the current menu) can be made online by clicking on Feeding Hungry Minds. Please note that parents need to cancel their meal before 9am on the day if their child is absent, otherwise they will still be charged for the meal.

Children in families who receive income support, job seekers allowance, child tax credit or who are refugees/asylum seekers, are entitled to free school meals (Applications can be made online via Kingston Website - click here). All applications are treated confidentially. Please call at the office.

Packed Lunches

Children who choose to bring a packed lunch must bring this in a named lunch box. Drinks (fresh juice or water) should be in a plastic bottle or plastic flask with a screw-on cap. Cans, flasks of soup and glass bottles or fizzy drinks are not allowed. In the interests of the child’s health, please make sure the lunch boxes and utensils are kept scrupulously clean. Ice packs are a good idea to keep food at healthy temperatures especially during the summer months. Please provide your child with healthy options e.g. fruit, vegetables, brown bread etc – not sweets, chocolates or any item containing nuts (We are a NUT FREE School)

Morning Snacks

The school is part of the national fruit scheme – a government initiative to promote healthy eating in young children. All children in KS1 receive a portion of fruit (apple, tomato, carrot, satsuma, banana or pear) free of charge every day. Milk is available, free of charge, to children under the age of 5. Please ensure that your children bring their own water bottles. Children have access to water throughout the day. Key Stage 2 children may bring in fresh fruit for their morning snack which they may eat during break time.
